World of Perfume - Delahunty's Reflections

Delahunty’s Reflections commenced in July 1979 in the Brisbane Arcade, Queen Street, Brisbane. It consisted of perfumes, sunglasses, cosmetics and beauty products on the ground level and on the mezzanine floor, the Beauty Centre.

Prior to renovations and the birth of the Reflections in 1979, the business was originally Jas. J. Delahunty Uptown Pharmacy for a number of years. In the period November 78 to July 1979, it operated as a perfume and toiletry shop known as "World of Perfume”. The Beauty Centre provided treatments ranging from facials and massages to pedicures and waxing.

On October 14^th, 1981, Delahunty’s Reflections opened a second perfumery. This one was located in the City Centre Arcade, Queen Street, Brisbane. The City Centre Arcade differed from the Brisbane Arcade in that it didn’t contain a beauty salon, but did stock an extensive range of exclusive gift ware.

On 29^th March, 1982 a third Reflections opened. This time in Tweed City, Tweed Heads South. This perfumery being similar to the City Centre Arcade.
